Asus laptop screen replacement cost in Indore is about Rs 2,500 to Rs 9,000 for mainstream panels (Indore Tech Guru's 2026 Asus guide), with OLED and 144 Hz-plus gaming panels priced higher. The exact panel is confirmed from your model number before any part is ordered, so the quote matches the screen your laptop really uses.
Public price lists for the same ASUS line can differ by two to four times, which makes it hard to know what is fair. This guide gives an indicative Indore range by line and panel, shows why other lists disagree, walks through the free MyASUS checks to run before you pay, and explains how to find your exact panel, check warranty and decide whether replacing the screen is worth it. Indore Tech Guru is an independent repair shop in Indore and is not an ASUS-authorised service centre.
Indore Tech Guru's Asus brand page quotes a screen replacement at roughly Rs 2,500 to Rs 9,000, varying by model, fault and market rates. Read that as the mainstream band. Premium OLED panels and high-refresh gaming panels sit above it, as the line-by-line figures below show. All numbers are approximate, indicative for 2026, and confirmed in writing only after the laptop is inspected.
Panel type matters more than the Asus badge on the lid. The first-party all-brands screen guide gives these indicative 2026 bands for out-of-warranty replacements in Indore:
The table below combines the Asus-specific ranges from our Asus service-centre guide (updated 28 September 2026) with the generic panel bands. It is a first-party table, not a national average.
| Asus line / panel | Typical Indore range (approx., 2026) | What changes the number |
|---|---|---|
| VivoBook or ExpertBook, 15.6-inch FHD | Rs 3,000-5,500 | Size, resolution, whether the panel is IPS, and part availability for your model number |
| ROG or TUF Gaming, 144 Hz | Rs 5,500-12,000 | Refresh rate, resolution and panel grade |
| ROG or TUF Gaming, 240 Hz or QHD+ | Rs 9,000-18,000 | Very high refresh rate or higher resolution raises the part cost sharply |
| ZenBook, including OLED | Rs 9,000-20,000 | OLED construction, size and resolution |
| Any Asus, FHD touchscreen (all-brands guide) | Rs 7,000-12,000 | The touch layer is part of the panel assembly |
| Any Asus, 2K, 4K or OLED (all-brands guide) | Rs 10,000 and up | Premium panel; exact figure depends on the model |
To reconcile the two sources: Rs 2,500 to Rs 9,000 is the mainstream band, and ZenBook OLED at Rs 9,000 to Rs 20,000 sits above it, as do the 240 Hz and QHD+ gaming rows. Asus screen prices come from repair chains, parts sellers and local shops, and their numbers do not line up. The table below shows what three of them published, read on 6 October 2026. None of these are Indore quotes and none are endorsed here. They are shown to explain the spread, not to set your price.
| Source and date | VivoBook | TUF | ROG | ZenBook / OLED | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| xparts.in (30 Dec 2024) | Rs 2,700-5,000 | Rs 3,000-6,000 | ROG Zephyrus Rs 2,500-4,500 | ZenBook Flip Rs 2,500-4,500; no OLED row | Parts seller; offers a 6-month warranty on its products |
| asusservicecenternearbyme.in (undated) | Rs 4,000-9,000 | Rs 5,000-12,000+ | Rs 6,000-18,000+ | ZenBook Rs 5,000-15,000+; OLED panel Rs 9,000-20,000+ | Independent site that says it is not affiliated with Asus |
| indirepair.in (6 Apr 2026) | 14-inch FHD Rs 3,500-5,500; 15.6-inch FHD Rs 5,000-6,500 | Not listed | Not listed | 14-inch OLED Rs 6,000-10,500+; 15.6-inch OLED Rs 12,000-18,000+ | VivoBook guide from a Mumbai shop |
The ROG row shows the problem. One list gives Rs 2,500 to Rs 4,500 for ROG Zephyrus, another gives Rs 6,000 to Rs 18,000 or more for ROG. Both cannot describe the same job, so one number should never be trusted without knowing the exact panel, the city and whether it covers the part alone or the part fitted.
When two quotes for the same line differ, these are the usual reasons:
This is why a ZenBook with an OLED panel and a TUF Gaming laptop with a 144 Hz panel cost more than a basic VivoBook. The ASUS lines are built for different buyers: VivoBook is the consumer line, ZenBook the premium ultrabook line, ROG (Republic of Gamers, launched in 2006) and TUF Gaming the gaming lines, and ExpertBook the business line.
Not every flicker means a new screen. Three different faults look similar from the front: a failing panel, a worn Display cable and a graphics or driver problem. The checks below are free and can stop you paying for the wrong part. This is general reasoning, so treat it as a guide and have the laptop inspected to confirm.
MyASUS is the ASUS support app. Its System Diagnosis has a one-click scan covering the adapter, memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, storage, battery, fan and a system check. Display is not part of that one-click scan: choose Customized diagnosis and tick Display. For ASUS gaming notebooks such as ROG and TUF Gaming, ASUS also documents a Display Test in which you confirm a prompt, inspect the screen and choose Pass or Fail. Menus and available tests vary by model, so a VivoBook or ZenBook may not show the same options. The official ASUS page for MyASUS System Diagnosis was updated in February 2026.
Connect the laptop to a monitor or TV by HDMI and read what you see. In general:
On a VivoBook, the Display cable runs through a tight channel in the hinge and can fray with repeated opening and closing. Indore Tech Guru's Asus page lists the symptoms: flicker, a black screen with the backlight still on, or a display that works only at certain lid angles. A flicker that changes as you move the lid points to the cable, not the panel. Do not open the hinge or pull the bezel yourself. Cables and panel connectors are easy to damage.
Two laptops with the same screen size can use different panels, which is why a quote should come from a model number and not a guess. Collect these details before you ask for a price.
The full model name is printed on the sticker on the base of the laptop. You can also open Windows System Information and read the System Model line. Shops usually work from codes such as FX506 or X515, and our written quotes are tied to the model number for the same reason.
A model number usually settles the screen size and connector, but variants of one model can still differ in resolution, panel type, Refresh rate and touch. A TUF Gaming laptop sold with a 144 Hz IPS panel needs the same kind of replacement, and an OLED ZenBook needs an OLED panel. Putting a lower-grade panel in changes how the laptop looks and behaves, so ask the shop which panel specification is being fitted before you approve the quote.
ASUS India states a one-year standard laptop warranty, and you can check the status by serial number in MyASUS. If the laptop is still covered, speak to ASUS first, because opening a laptop in warranty can void the cover. Indore Tech Guru is an independent repair shop and is not ASUS-authorised, so in-warranty work belongs with ASUS's own service network. Our Asus laptop service centre guide for Indore explains how to choose between authorised and independent repair. If the warranty has ended, an independent repair is a reasonable option, and this guide applies.
A screen is usually worth replacing when the rest of the laptop is healthy. A simple rule without guessing resale prices: if the quote comes close to what the laptop would fetch second-hand, or if other faults are stacking up, compare your options before paying. A worn battery, a loose hinge or a failing keyboard on the same machine each add cost, and a new panel does not fix any of them.
For a mainstream VivoBook or ExpertBook in the Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,500 range, repair is normally the sensible route if the laptop still performs well for your work. For a ZenBook OLED at the top of the Rs 9,000 to Rs 20,000 band, ask for the quote and compare it with the cost of a replacement laptop before deciding. The right answer depends on the laptop's age and condition, not on the screen price alone.
